With a geographically strategic location, a language spoken by more than 220 million people, great infrastructures and technologically advanced resources, Portuguese finished products are distinguished by their unique quality.<\/p>\n\n<p>These are some of the reasons why Portuguese companies are increasingly betting on internationalization, as a way to leverage their growth and competitiveness in the global market.<\/p>\n\n<p>However, while facing so many challenges such as the pandemics, war and inflation, what has been the performance of the several Portuguese sectors?<\/p>\n\n<p>Learn more in this post!<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Portuguese Exports Grow 13.2% in the First Quarter&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>&#8230; and imports about 9.1%, compared to the same period last year, with industrial supplies reaching 19.0% and 12.5%, respectively, and a decrease in imports of fuels and lubricants (-12.7%).<\/p>\n\n<p>Imported goods already cost 2.2% less while exported goods reflected a 4.4% fluctuation.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Metal Exports reach the best 1st quarter ever&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>&#8230; a record that exceeds 2,524 million euros and an increase of 27.2% over the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n<p>The main customers are: Spain, Germany, France, Italy, UK (not including Northern Ireland), Australia, Japan and Morocco.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Automotive components exports registered a historical high &#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>&#8230; only in March increased about 36% compared to the same month. A growth that continues for the 11th consecutive month and has already exceeded 3,053 million euros since January. 71% of exports destinations are: Spain, Germany, France, Slovakia and USA.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Exports Textiles decrease&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>&#8230;. &#8220;exporting less for a higher value&#8221; this is how ATP ranks the industry landscape. In February there was a decrease of 3% in value and 12% in quantity in textiles and clothing exports. Despite the general decline, the following markets stand out: Romania, the Czech Republic, Canada and Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Wine exports recede in the first quarter&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>&#8230; although the average price has increased, wine exports fall in value and volume.
