In Portugal, Healthcare industry is one of the main drivers of the national economy, in addition to the high added value it entails, it has been highlighted by the investment in research and technology development. As a strategic area, there has been an increasing focus on the internationalization of the sector.<\/p>\n\n

In international markets, Portugal is recognized for the quality and innovation of its products, management flexibility, responsiveness, and the compliments of timings. The result was a significant growth of 35% in 2022, reaching 2.4 billion euros. Healthcare products imports grew about 15%.<\/p>\n\n

With greater prominence in exports, pharmaceutical preparations stand out, followed by instruments and medical-surgical material (+11%).<\/p>\n\n
