1.First Air Cargo Flight
November 7, 1910, it was on this day that the first air cargo flight between Dayton and Columbos, USA. It took about an hour to flight a distance about 100km (65 miles). The plane was only carrying about 200 pounds of silk for the opening of a store.
2. Largest Cargo Aircraft
• Antonov AN-225 Mriya
By 2022, this aircraft, designed by the Ukrainian company Antonov, was capable of carrying up to 250 tons of cargo. In April 2022 it was destroyed following fighting between Russian and Ukrainian forces.
3.Busiest Air Cargo Airport
Hong Kong International Airport is the busiest airport in the world, with a total of 4,199,196 tons handled.
4.Heavier Cargo
In 2020 the famous Antonov transported from China to France, with about 150 metric tons of masks, gloves and other personal protective equipment, setting the world record for the largest volume ever transported by air. It took about 20 hours to unload all cargo.
