The BL (Bill of Lading) is a multifunctional international document that represents the contract for the maritime transport of goods. It certifies the receipt of the goods at the terminal of origin and the obligation to deliver them at the terminal of destination, and it serves as proof of ownership of the cargo, detailing and supporting the entire logistics operation.
This document guides the relations resulting from the agreement, being signed by the exporting company and sent to the importing company for analysis and verification of the information.
For customs clearance, it is essential that the document is filled in correctly. This ensures that the information provided is correct and avoids additional costs.
