In Portugal, May was one of the ten best months ever for exports of basic metals and fabricated metal products, with a year-on-year increase of 9.7% and a total value of 2.341 billion.
Exports were up some 13.9% in just five months, with Spanish, French, British, German, Moroccan and Japanese exports leading. The European Union also accounts for 75% of total exports.
